Why this program exists

Liberia's biggest digital gap isn't technology. It's talent.

Every ministry going digital, every NGO building a dashboard, every bank launching mobile services needs the same thing: Liberians who can do the work. Today, too many of those jobs go unfilled, or go abroad.

The vMass Digital Skills Program closes that gap. Our curriculum is built from the actual systems we run, the same DHIS2 instances, dashboards, databases, and AI tools our clients use, so what you learn on Saturday, you can apply at work on Monday.

  • Hands-on: real datasets, real projects, real tools, laptops on desks from day one
  • Flexible: evening, weekend, and intensive cohorts that fit around work
  • Recognized: vMass certificates with unique verification codes
  • Connected: top graduates get first consideration for vMass projects and partner placements

Program FAQs

Why only 20 students per batch?
Because skills are learned by doing, not watching. Capping every batch at 20 keeps classes hands-on, gives every student instructor time, and keeps the quality of graduates high. It also means seats genuinely run out, apply early.
When do classes start, and what are the schedules?
Schedules are flexible and confirmed with each batch, evening, weekend, and intensive full-time options are available. Once you apply, our coordinator contacts you with the next available batch for your course and the schedule options.
How much do courses cost?
Affordability is the point. Across all ten programs, fees average about $150 per month, a deliberate choice to support technology literacy among Liberia's youth. Exact fees per course are confirmed on application, and partial scholarships are available each batch for outstanding women applicants.
What does the learning environment look like?
Not a traditional classroom. Students sit around a conference table in a professional office setup, the same kind of environment they will work in after graduation. It keeps every session collaborative, practical, and professional.
Do I need a laptop?
A laptop is strongly recommended for practice between sessions. A limited number of lab machines are available during class for participants who need them.
Do I need prior experience?
Introduction to Computer assumes no prior experience at all. AI for Professionals assumes basic computer literacy. Professional Foundation is our work-readiness capstone, recommended after you complete any other course. Technical programs list their prerequisites in the syllabus you receive after applying.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. Graduates receive a vMass Group certificate with a unique verification code that employers can confirm online.
Can my organization sponsor several staff?
Absolutely, group and institutional rates are available, and we can run a dedicated cohort for teams of eight or more. Use the form above and select "Corporate / team training."
Where are classes held?
At the vMass Group office, Russell Ave & 10th Street, Monrovia, with hybrid options for selected tracks.
